Key Responsibilities

• Provide dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling/root planing
• Perform patient screenings, assessments, and update medical/dental histories
• Take high-quality digital radiographs
• Educate patients on home-care techniques, preventive care, and recommended treatment
• Maintain OSHA & CDC-compliant sterilization and infection-control protocols
• Accurately document treatment notes and update charts
• Work collaboratively with the dentist and team to support patient flow
• Contribute to a friendly, professional, and patient-centered environment

Required Qualifications (per California law)

• Active California RDH License

• Current CPR certification

• Knowledge of California Dental Practice Act standards

• Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation

• Strong communication and chairside manner

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience in a general private practice setting
