Direct Support Professional - Part time

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, engaging Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide part-time, one-on-one support to a young adult male in his home and community. This role focuses on personal care, movement and wellness, seizure awareness and response.

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Mondays and every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a respectful, person-centered manner
• Provide seizure care, including monitoring, following established protocols, and ensuring safety
• Engage actively with him throughout the day, not just during care tasks
• Accompany and support him in the community (errands, activities, social outings)
• Help build and strengthen community connections and natural supports
• Encourage independence, dignity, and choice
• Communicate clearly and appropriately with family regarding routines, health, and needs

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification a plus!
• Experience with seizure care or willingness to be trained
• Valid drivers license and personal vehicle in good working order (required)
• Comfortable with supporting community-based activities
• Experience with in-home care or individuals with disabilities preferred
