Position Summary:

The Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and/or adults enrolled in the agencys MHRS program. The LGSW is responsible for delivering clinically appropriate, evidence-based mental health interventions within the scope of DC MHRS regulations and under the clinical supervision of an LICSW. This position focuses exclusively on therapy servicesno case management or community support duties are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Document all clinical services in accordance with MHRS and DBH (Department of Behavioral Health) standards and timelines.
  • Maintain compliance with confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional boundaries.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, updating treatment goals as clinically indicated.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care and coordination with other service providers.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and mandatory agency trainings.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current DC LGSW license in good standing (required).
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience providing psychotherapy or behavioral health services preferred (internship experience acceptable).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with MHRS documentation requirements, DBH regulations, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based therapy models.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Proficient with electronic health records (EHR)
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
