Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. This role is ideal for an SLP looking for flexible scheduling while making a meaningful impact in the lives of geriatric patients.

The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Provide skilled therapy services in accordance with physician orders and regulatory guidelines

  • Treat residents with dysphagia, aphasia, cognitive deficits, voice disorders, and neurological impairments

  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicare and facility standards

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including OT, PT, nursing, and case management

  • Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy goals and safe swallowing techniques

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Current state SLP license (or eligibility)

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

  • Experience in SNF or geriatric setting preferred

  • Knowledge of Medicare Part A & B documentation (preferred)

  • Strong clinical, communication, and time management skills
