The Opportunity

You'll help residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility improve their mobility, functional independence, and overall quality of life. This full-time, direct hire position allows you to evaluate and treat residents using individualized physical rehabilitation plans that deliver long-term health benefits. You'll work alongside a skilled interdisciplinary team committed to compassionate, high-quality care in a safe and welcoming environment.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Evaluate residents' conditions and develop individualized physical rehabilitation plans
  • Help residents improve mobility and functional independence through exercises, hands-on therapy, stretching, and physical therapy devices
  • Relieve pain and guide residents through therapy tasks while monitoring their performance and progress
  • Inform residents about what to expect at different stages of recovery
  • Assist residents in using physical therapy equipment effectively
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants when required
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts to ensure comprehensive resident care
What We're Looking For
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • Current New York State PT License
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
