Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze highway and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform project development.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in transportation engineering.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation or highway engineering projects.
• Proficient in engineering software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Previous work experience with AASHTO standards and MDOT SHA projects a plus.
• Experience with project management and client relations.
• Commitment to safety and sustainability in engineering practices.
