Division 8 Estimator/Detailer - Remote

Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope requirements for Division 8.

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for hollow metal frames, wood doors, specialty doors, and hardware.

Prepare complete bid packages and cost estimates.

Develop competitive pricing strategies for bids and negotiated work.

Assemble bid proposals including scope clarifications and exclusions.

Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of bids.

Maintain estimating files and documentation for future reference.

Work closely with project managers, sales staff, and operations teams during bid reviews.

Participate in internal bid strategy meetings.

Assist with project handoff once work is awarded.

3+ years of estimating experience in Division 8 (doors, frames, hardware) or closely related construction trades.

Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Experience with commercial construction projects.

Proficiency with AVAWARE estimating software.

Strong attention to detail and organization.

Experience estimating for a door distributor or Division 8 subcontractor.

Knowledge of hardware schedules and specification sections.

Familiarity with AHC, DHI, or industry standards.

Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
