The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established commercial construction firm in the Denver metro area seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to support a growing pipeline of projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on in preconstruction, collaborating with operations, and producing accurate, competitive estimates across a range of commercial project types.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop budgets from conceptual through final design
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify risks and opportunities
- Participate in estimate reviews, value engineering, and scope clarification
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and preconstruction teams
- Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and bid documentation
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience estimating commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar)
- Solid Excel skills and general comfort with construction technology
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
