One of Kansas City's most respected company is looking for an experienced Paralegal to add to its growing team. The Paralegal will work under the supervision of attorneys during all phases of the civil litigation process. The ideal candidate will be proficient in case investigation, document procurement and review, case organization, legal research, discovery, and trial preparation, processes, and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Document review and procurement: obtain and analyze medical records, Social Security records, bankruptcy records, etc.
- Prepare and serve deposition notices, etc.
- Case organization
- Organize and facilitate discovery
- Trial and exhibit preparation
- Calendar and track discovery, pleadings, motions, and hearings
Requirements:
- Associate degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft products, PDF, and OCR software
