What we expect from you
We are seeking a full-time Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The ideal Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal candidate will be responsible for administering legal and operational aspects of managing a healthy personal injury caseload. Candidates should be able to manage and coordinate with the department leadership and attorney as this role helps to develop, implement, and supervise efficient procedures designed to successfully handle critical levels of department caseload. Qualified candidates must possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills and a professional appearance. Candidates must also thrive under pressure when talking with clients and be charismatic.
Qualifications:
- Personal Injury legal experience: 1-2 years (Required)
- Paralegal experience: 1-2 years (Required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Paralegal Certification or AA in Paralegal Studies
- Experience and willingness to file cases in Federal Court. (Strong consideration will be given to those with experience filing in various Federal Courts.)
- Experience with case management and document management
- familiarity with medical treatment.
- Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
- knowledge of Texas state and federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- File petitions, prepare responses and objections to discovery, draft motions
- calendar deadlines, schedule depositions, retain experts, schedule mediations
- draft trial prep documents, prepare trial notebooks, organizing exhibits
