The firm is seeking to hire an associate attorney with 2-10 years of experience preferably. The firm has a broad-based civil defense practice representing individual and entity clients in professional liability (medical and legal malpractice), general liability, employment, and construction defect matters in state and federal courts throughout California, as well as in administrative proceedings. The firm will consider applicants for a regular full-time position as well as part-time and/or contract work, and in-person/hybrid work is negotiable.
Applicants must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing with the California State Bar. In addition, background litigating professional liability cases is favored, although any defense-side experience will be considered. Applicants must have superior writing, communication, and analytical skills, a recognized attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
General Responsibilities:
Drafting Pleadings and Motions; Preparing and Responding to Discovery; Appearing in Court; Attending/Taking Depositions; Performing Document Review and Analysis; Working with Experts; Trial Preparation and Attendance.
