Auto Body Technician/Painter

We are growing!! Freightliner-Western Star of Maine is seeking enthusiastic, organized, and hard-working individuals to join our team. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. Pay will depend on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Wash and clean interior and exterior on heavy duty trucks
• Perform auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, fiberglass repair, and refinishing
• Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively for various repair tasks
• Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure proper fit and function during repairs
• Maintain a clean work station and adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards
• Attending and successfully completing factory training as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience in auto body repair or a related field is preferred, although this position requires a large amount of on the job training
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently
• Proficient in using various power tools and equipment related to automotive repair
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Strong customer service sills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn and adapt to company procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to clearly communicate verbal and/or written instructions
