Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation:
Hourly Range: $30.15 – $37.69 (based on 0–10 years of experience)
Annual Salary Range: $62,712 – $78,395.20
Position Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist (RT) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing age-appropriate, therapeutic, and diagnostic cardiopulmonary services under practitioner orders and departmental policies. Working under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Clinical Supervisor, the RT ensures quality care aligned with AARC standards of practice and hospital protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory treatments and interventions per provider orders.
Perform diagnostic cardiopulmonary assessments and monitoring.
Respond to emergency situations including code blues and rapid responses.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to develop patient care plans.
Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and documentation practices.
Maintain current knowledge of hospital policies, AARC guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Utilize computer applications and electronic medical records efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate from an approved/accredited Respiratory Care Program.
Current New Hampshire license or compact license (must be active at time of application).
Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
BLS (CPR), ACLS certified.
PALS and NRP certifications required (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
Preferred Qualifications:
Neonatal Resuscitation certification preferred.
5+ years of clinical experience in respiratory care preferred.
New graduates will be considered.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of physiology, pathology, and evidence-based respiratory practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Familiarity with and willingness to learn hospital software applications and EMRs.
