Seed Processing Manager – Direct Hire Field: Seed ProductionLocation: Tangent, OREmployment Type: Full-time, permanentWork Arrangement: OnsitePosition OverviewA seed production organization in Tangent, OR is seeking a Seed Processing Manager to oversee all phases of plant operations, including production seed processing and packaging of sugar beet seed products. This role ensures operations meet established quality standards and customer requirements while maintaining compliance with all safety, security, and regulatory guidelines.The Seed Processing Manager provides leadership to the Production Operations team and serves as a key liaison with global partners and affiliated operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily operations by working closely with processing supervisors and team leads Oversee commercial seed processing, treatment, and packaging activities Develop and manage quarterly and annual processing budgets Ensure quality standards are consistently met across all work centers Plan for mid- and long-term capital investments and production capacity Supervise full-time and seasonal staff during peak processing periods Create and manage work schedules for 24/7 seasonal operations Mentor and develop supervisors to maintain high standards in production, quality, and safety Design workflow processes and assess equipment capabilities and constraints Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) annually Ensure processed products meet or exceed market quality requirements Track and communicate production timelines and order completion statuses Foster collaboration, communication, and team cohesion across departments Partner with quality teams to address and improve substandard seed lots Collaborate with operations, R&D, engineering, and project teams to implement process improvements and new technologies Support coordination and communication with international partners Maintain consistent attendance and perform additional duties as needed QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations, Management, or a related field preferred 8–10 years of experience in seed production, manufacturing, or a related industry Knowledge of the sugar beet industry, including seed production and related inputs, preferred Experience with budgeting and financial management principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and project management skills Ability to travel domestically and internationally Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $120,000 – $135,000 plus bonus potential Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement benefits including pension plan and 401(k) with employer match Flexible paid time off Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Collaborative, international work environment#albor
