Mancan Staffing is hiring a maintenance technician for a busy manufacturing facility in Steubenville! This job includes disassembling, reassembling & testing machinery and sub-assemblies; repairing plant and office machinery; maintaining a safe and orderly work environment; performing preventative maintenance procedures and techniques; sizing and determining proper fits of keys, shafts, bearings, using precision tools as required; performing facility repairs; installing new machinery, tanks, pumps, and process equipment as required; troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures, and identifying root cause for mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic and electrical systems; and performing bench operations such as drilling, tapping, grinding, welding, fabricating, etc.;

REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to use mig, tig, and arc welding equipment;
Ability to work with minimum supervision;
Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical theory;
Requires good organizational skills, a self-starter and a team player;
Possess mechanical aptitude, with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn;
Basic machine shop skills (i.e. grinders, threading machines)
Background clearance required (police background check);
Able to pass initial employment drug screen and random testing thereafter.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Able to relate/communicate well with people;
Punctual, dependable and reliable.
Experience working with equipment such as : boom lifts, scissor lifts and fork lift
Read and understand blueprints technical manuals and work instructions.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems or has mechanical aptitude ,electrical, pneumatics, hydraulic presses, and mechanical presses

This is a full time temp to hire position on day shift (6am-4pm Monday through Friday). Pay will be based on experience.
