RN Cardiac Telemetry Services | Independence, MO US

Shift Available: Days and Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Position Summary: Cardiac nurses assess acute patient changes, monitor and analyze heart rhythms, interpret ECGs, identify arrhythmias, and intervene in emergencies. Requires strong critical thinking, clinical expertise, and the ability to perform under pressure.

About This Unit:

• 36 Bed Cardiac Specialty Unit
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4–5:1 (Days) / 5–6:1 (Nights) – 1 Tech per Hall
• Diverse patient population: Chest Pain, Stroke, COPD, Post Ops, GI, Arrhythmias, Drips
• Step-down unit from PCU and Level II Trauma Center

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and provides therapeutic and administrative patient care
• Delivers care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
• Provides care for patients age 16+ (young adult to geriatric population)
• Cares for patients under 16 until stable for transfer
• Develops advanced knowledge in cardiac monitoring and step-down care

Qualifications:

• 1 year of Acute Care RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
• Current RN license (Missouri or compact state)
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire

Compensation & Additional Info:

• Pay Range: $32.00 – $43.00 (based on years of experience)
• Shift Differentials: $3.00 (Nights) / $2.00 (Weekends)
• Sign-On Bonus: $12K
• Relocation: Available
