Behavioral Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

We are seeking a per diem Behavioral Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patients in an inpatient behavioral health environment. This role is ideal for CNAs who are patient‐focused, observant, and comfortable working with individuals receiving mental health and/or substance use treatment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct patient care and supervision in an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Conduct patient safety checks, rounding, and observation per unit protocol
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition
• Support patients during behavioral health crises using de‐escalation techniques
• Assist nursing staff with unit workflows and patient care needs
• Document care accurately in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

Schedule

• Full‐time
• 12‐hour shifts
• • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Behavioral Health, psych, or similar patient‐care experience preferred
• CPR and CPI certification required
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and attentive in a behavioral health environment
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills

Preferred Experience

• Inpatient behavioral health, psychiatric, or detox experience
• Experience with de‐escalation techniques and patient safety monitoring
