Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Lead a Maintenance team to ensure Safety, Quality, and Performance objectives are met. Direct skilled personnel through daily operations while coordinating closely with planners and team leads. Oversee communication with upper management regarding critical issues, including cost tracking and project timelines.
Pay: $75,000 – $90,000/year
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday | 4x10 schedule | Day shift starting at 5:30 AM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and enforce a safety-first culture across all operations
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety and GMP standards
- Oversee maintenance activities for assigned shift to meet operational goals and report on any schedule gaps
- Assign daily tasks to maintenance crews and distribute planned work orders
- Review and ensure completion of all maintenance, repair, and modification work orders
- Adjust priorities and schedules as needed; serve as point of contact for emergency issues
- Coordinate with Maintenance Planner to reschedule pending or delayed work
- Schedule and align maintenance activities across operations, internal teams, and contractors
- Source emergency parts, process requisitions, and coordinate contractor support
- Ensure smooth shift transitions by communicating ongoing and carryover work
- Assist in resolving operational or customer-related issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor inventory and identify obsolete or improvement opportunities for parts
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Electrical Maintenance or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience
- 6+ years of experience may be considered in place of a degree
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of SPC and related tools
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information
- Comfortable working with employees at all levels and external partners
- Ability to move throughout the facility, including stairs, ladders, and confined spaces
- Capable of extended desk work involving reporting and analysis
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- On-call availability for emergency situations (24/7 as needed)
- Flexibility to work weekends when required
