Maintenance Technician - Atlanta (Buckhead)

Calvin Court, an Affordable Living Community in Atlanta (Buckhead), Ga is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to preserve and enhance the value of the community. The ideal candidate will complete repairs and preventive maintenance across basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems. Prior experience with punch lists, as well as wall and trim repair and painting, is preferred.

In addition, a working knowledge of housekeeping practices is required, including cleaning public areas, offices, and restrooms, as well as preparing apartments for move-in.

Responsibilities include:

• Respond to building maintenance requests in a timely manner

• Tour and inspect the interior and exterior areas of the facility

• Maintain cleanliness of all interior and exterior public areas

• Perform general labor such as loading, unloading and moving supplies

• Clean spills, unplug sinks and toilets, and respond to other unanticipated custodial related situations

• Paint and patch drywall, and perform other minor repairs

• Working knowledge of HVAC systems a plus

• Ability to communicate with residents, co-workers and management

Qualifications include:

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience required

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
