Director of Diagnostic Imaging | High Demand

The Director of Diagnostic Imaging oversees all diagnostic imaging services within an acute care setting, managing a team of 31-50 technologists and supervisors. This leadership role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational excellence while driving initiatives to stabilize staffing, optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance patient experience. Reporting to the COO, the Director is responsible for budget and inventory management, scheduling coordination, policy implementation, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all diagnostic imaging modalities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary imaging team
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols
• Implement quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Coordinate workflow and scheduling for optimal operational efficiency
• Manage budgets, inventory, and resource allocation
• Develop and enforce policies supporting best practices and patient satisfaction
• Drive staff development and maintain a positive workplace culture
• Monitor and improve patient care and experience throughout imaging services
• Report operational performance and issues to COO

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years recent experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Director in an acute care setting
• 5+ years experience in Diagnostic Imaging in an acute care setting
• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• ARRT Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in diagnostic imaging modalities management
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality improvement processes
• Proficiency in budget management and operational leadership
• Strong team leadership and communication skills
• Familiarity with scheduling software and inventory management
• Background in enhancing patient care and satisfaction
