Line Cook Prep Cook

The Olympic Tavern, Rockford's original neighborhood tavern & restaurant has been family owned & operated since 1945, and we are currently hiring for two  talented, motivated line and prep cooks.

We are looking for line/prep cooks with at least two years of experience on fryer and sautee, but we will train the right candidate if you're eager to learn.  The right candidate will know how to work clean, be organized, detail oriented, as well as a fast learner with a sense of urgency. If you do not already have your foodservice sanitation license, you will need to obtain one within 60 days of hiring.

We're looking for someone who will be able to get along with their team members and take direction from managers. Setting up and breaking down the kitchen, keeping a clean work space, stocking, prep, and cooking are just a few of your job duties.  Reliability, punctuality and dependability is a must.

We will have part time hours to start, with full time available after a training/tryout period -- nights and weekend shifts are available, but we may have a few prep / lunch shifts available as well. Compensation begins at $14./hour or more depending on skill set -- raises and scheduled hours will be based on performance & a 45 day performance review.
