General Labor

Wheatland Steel Processing is seeking motivated and dependable General Laborers to join our production team. In this role, you will support various production areas including slitting, stamping, leveling, laser cutting, metal cutting, fabrication, and general material handling.

As a General Laborer, you will perform hands-on work across multiple departments to help ensure high-quality output, safe operations, and on-time delivery to our customers. Flexibility, reliability, and strong work ethic are key to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

•   Assist in setup, operation, and cleanup of machinery such as slitters, stamping presses, lasers, and CNC equipment.
• Load and unload material (coils, blanks, sheets, ingots, etc.) for processing.
• Move product and raw material safely throughout the facility using forklifts and cranes (training provided if necessary).
• Perform basic quality checks on parts (visual inspections, measurements).
• Package, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. 
• Support equipment maintenance and other tasks as needed.
• Work collaboratively with operators, maintenance, and supervisors to meet production goals.
• Cross-train in multiple departments to support varying production demands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus, but no experience required - we will train.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Basic math and measurement skills. 
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods.
• Ability to work safely around machinery and in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, as required.
