Lawn Care Technician

Position: Lawn Care Technician — Pesticide Applicator. Location: Indiana — travel to client properties required Schedule: Mon–Fri with occasional Saturdays; seasonal and year-round positions available

Key duties

• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides and other pesticide products per label directions
• Mow, edge, trim, blow and perform general lawn maintenance as needed
• Maintain accurate application records and follow state regulations
• Inspect yards for pest/disease issues and report recommendations to supervisor
• Operate and maintain equipment safely; use PPE consistently
• Communicate professionally with customers and supervisors

Required qualifications

• Must pass the Indiana CORE pesticide applicator test (state certification required prior to solo pesticide work)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varied weather
• Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and safety-focused

Preferred

• Previous pesticide application or lawn care experience
• Additional Indiana category certifications or training
• Ability to read and follow chemical labels and safety data sheets
