Join the South Fulton Senior Services team as a Senior Center Assistant, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our senior community. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support our programs and services in a friendly and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities for seniors.
- Provide support and companionship to participants, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Coordinate transportation and manage attendance for scheduled events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the center and its resources.
- Assist with meal preparation and distribution during meal programs.
- Document participant feedback and report any concerns to management.
- Engage with families and caregivers to enhance communication and support.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in senior care preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with seniors.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
