Long Island Brain and Spine is a growing multi-specialty practice. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team of billers. Major Job Responsibilities Include:

• Review and follow up in and out of network claims using all tools available to you.
• Prioritizing follow-up on claim volume in fast-paced environment.
• Write claim appeals for denials / incorrect payments.
• Review monthly patient statements, set up payment plans and make collection agency referrals.

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

• Experience in BOTH in-network AND out-of-network surgical medical billing/collections, all commercial carriers, Medicare/Medicaid.
• ICD10 and CPT4 coding knowledge and experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently towards departmental team goals and an ability to think “outside the box”.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff in a professional manner as well as physicians.
