Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care

Description:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during shifts
• Meet nursing practice standards and manage assigned patients, supplies, and equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and other departments, delegate nursing activities
• Provide patient care including Foley catheters, NG tubes, ostomy care, blood glucose testing, oxygen therapy, wound care, IV therapy
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions

Education & Certification:

• Registered Nursing degree from an accredited school
• IV certification via approved course
• Required continuing education, competencies, and orientation

Experience:

• 1 year of acute care nursing preferred (on-the-job training available)

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Proper body mechanics for lifting, pushing, and pulling
• Motor coordination to operate equipment
• Ability to follow oral/written instructions
• Comfortable working overnight shifts
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Technical Proficiency:

• Computer skills required

Work Schedule: Night Shift; Three 12-hour shifts 7PM-7AM

Compensation & Benefits:

• Wage: $32.00 – $42.00/hr
• Sign-on bonus: $10,000
