Restaurant Line Cook

Busy seafood restaurant on Tierra Verde is looking for line cooks who can prepare, cook, and plate food items, working in a designated station - such as the grill, saute, or pantry - under the direction of the kitchen manager. To ensure consistent quality and speed during service, often managing multiple orders simultaneously, alongside maintaining strict station sanitation and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Station Setup: Setting up and stocking the assigned station with necessary supplies and ingredients before service.
• Food Preparation: Chopping, prepping, and prepping ingredients like vegetables, sauces, and proteins.
• Cooking & Plating: Cooking food to order according to recipes and plating guidelines to ensure quality and presentation standards.
• Multitasking: Managing different cooking times (e.g., frying, grilling) for multiple dishes simultaneously.
• Cleaning & Maintenance: Cleaning and sanitizing the workstation during and after shifts to meet health codes.
• Communication: Communicating with servers and chefs to coordinate, ensuring dishes are ready at the same time and in the right order.
