Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assembly Mechanic to join our dynamic team at Isometrics, Inc. The Assembly Mechanic will be responsible for assembling fabricated and purchased parts onto truck chassis, ensuring that each refueling vehicle meets the stringent quality and performance standards required for military applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble fabricated and purchased components (such as tanks, pumps, hoses, and control systems) onto truck chassis to build refueling vehicles.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to understand assembly requirements.
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly tasks, ensuring precise and functional integration of components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete assemblies.
- Inspect all assembled parts and systems for quality, functionality, and safety compliance.
- Test assembled systems to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure all assembly work meets military specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve assembly processes.
- Document assembly work and report any discrepancies, repairs, or improvements made to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, engineering, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or similar roles, with experience in truck or vehicle assembly preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and assembly machinery.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with military or defense industry manufacturing is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods of time during assembly tasks.
- Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions, including inside and outside environments, depending on project requirements.
