Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes to ensure accurate documentation and smooth flow of appointments
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort while maintaining confidentiality
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, or minor surgeries, including handling instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Support clinical documentation by updating electronic health record (EHR) systems with accurate patient information, ICD coding, medication administration records, and treatment notes
- Perform basic diagnostic tasks such as assisting with laboratory tests when trained and certified to do so
- Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and ensure clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration practices
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical administrative support functions such as appointment scheduling and insurance documentation
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
