Assistant Director
Goose & Rev Academy – Tri-Cities, WA
Goose & Rev Academy is seeking a confident, hands-on Assistant Director to support daily operations across our Academy locations in the Tri-Cities. This role is ideal for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads with accountability, and knows how to support teams while maintaining high standards.
The Assistant Director works directly under the Director and Director of Operations and plays a key role in staffing, compliance, and day-to-day leadership.
Position Overview
The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting staff, managing schedules, and ensuring state regulations are followed at all times. This role is highly visible, people-focused, and requires proactive leadership.
This is not a desk-only role — you will be present in classrooms, supporting staff, problem-solving in real time, and helping keep each location running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily operations across multiple Goose & Rev Academy locations
Create and manage weekly staff schedules, ensuring ratios and coverage are met
Address staffing needs, call-outs, coverage gaps, and performance concerns
Support staff onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching
Ensure compliance with Washington State WAC and licensing requirements
Serve as a leadership presence for staff, families, and licensing visits
Assist with classroom support when needed
Communicate closely with the Director and Director of Operations
Help uphold Goose & Rev Academy standards, culture, and expectations
Qualifications
Prior experience in early learning, education leadership, or center operations
Strong knowledge of staffing ratios and licensing compliance (WA experience preferred)
Proven leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and locations
Calm, confident, and solutions-focused under pressure
Reliable, organized, and professional
Must pass required background checks and meet state requirements
Schedule & Pay
Monday – Friday
Hours generally fall within 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (flexibility within that window)
Starting pay: $25.00 per hour
After 90 days, a performance review will be conducted
If performance expectations are met, pay increases to $28.00 per hour
