Job Description
Position Overview
Blackwater Public Safety is currently hiring professional and dependable Security Patrol Officers for overnight operations. Officers will conduct mobile patrols at various client properties, ensuring safety, security, and enforcement of site-specific policies.
Available shifts include:
9:00 PM – 5:00 AM
10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Some assignments may be designated as armed posts, which are strictly voluntary and based on assignment needs and employee eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine vehicle patrols of assigned properties
Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized persons
Write detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports
Provide visible deterrence against theft, vandalism, and trespassing
Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
Maintain professional communication with clients, the public, and supervisors
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid California Guard Card issued by BSIS (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to pass a background check in compliance with California law
Preferred Qualifications
Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
Experience in mobile patrol operations
For armed assignments: valid California exposed firearm permit (BSIS)
Compensation & Benefits
Starting pay: $19.50 – $21.00/hour (based on experience, not certifications)
Overtime pay in accordance with California labor laws
Paid training (where applicable)
