Under broad supervision, analyzes customer business needs and participates in the planning design and implementation of systems that may serve enterprise initiatives
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst who brings a strategic mindset, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to learn accounts payable and vendor management processes. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, finance teams, external IT consultants and our IT department, ensuring that operational and financial processes are optimized, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable driving enterprise initiatives, analyzing complex data, and managing vendor relationships that impact financial operations.Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Strategy
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across all divisions, external government entities, and IT.
- Analyze current business processes, identify gaps, and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, user stories, and process flows.
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI assessments for strategic initiatives.
Project Management
- Plan, execute, and manage cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery.
- Guide project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and successful project execution.
- Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies, and assist in the development of mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular status updates to the CIO and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Entry Qualifications
- Associate Degree & 3 years or related experience OR two years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst providing information and referral services to cross functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in business analysis, with exposure to project management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects.
Work Environment
- On site the first three weeks then in the office two days a week.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, Procurement, Grants Management and the Victims Compensation Division
