Mitigation Technician/Demolition Laborer

Since 1971, Duckstein Restoration has been a leading construction company in Pittsburgh, specializing in commercial and residential insurance restoration. Disaster restoration has become an increasingly needed service throughout our area as well as the entire country.

With an overwhelming demand for work, we need mitigation technicians for full-time positions 7:00am – 4pm. As a mitigation technician you will work in the homes of people who have recently experienced damage to their home caused by one or any combination of the following: water, sewage, mold, fire, and biohazard (blood, feces, etc.).

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Loading equipment into trucks
• Placing equipment in the home for drying
• Removing/demoing water/mold damaged building materials
• Sewage cleanups
• Taking moisture readings
• Following IICRC standards
• Wearing proper PPE
• Documenting job progress with photos
• Completion of paperwork (customer agreements, COS, etc.)
• Communication with customers potentially dealing with a disaster
• Driving a company vehicle
• Possible bio-hazard cleanups (blood, other human body matter)
• Responding to after-hour calls

It is a requirement that you have a clean background. You will also need reliable transportation to our main office and a valid driver's license. We provide transportation to jobsites.

Hours are Monday thru Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

On-call rotation and additional hours as needed.

Depending on experience this position typically pays between $18 - $27/hour
