Job Summary
We are seeking a medical receptionist to join our practice. Must be a responsible, motivated and flexible individual. Must be available to commute to satellite office (Toms River) when necessary. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable about healthcare practices.
We are seeking a medical receptionist to join our practice. Must be a responsible, motivated and flexible individual. Must be available to commute to satellite office (Toms River) when necessary. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable about healthcare practices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians, patients, and healthcare staff
- Greet patients and visitors
- Answer phones
- Schedule patient appointments
- Answer patient inquiries
- Explain intake forms to patients
- Process patient payments
- Obtain prior authorizations via Evicore
- Obtain health insurance benefits
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar position is preferred
- Experience with Practice manager and Chartmaker clinical software
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to work in fast-paced situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of compassion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
