Join our growing and reorganizing medical practice! El Nunu Medical, P.C. is seeking a caring and detail-oriented Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator to become an integral part of our team. We are a patient-centered practice committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care — and we’re looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) professional who shares that dedication.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and manage front desk operations with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Schedule, confirm, and follow up on patient appointments.
- Reach out to patients to schedule follow-ups, review lab results, and coordinate provider visits.
- Review and organize emails and forms for providers; ensure timely completion and communication.
- Check insurance eligibility and verify patient benefits prior to visits.
- Process referrals and submit prior authorizations for tests, procedures, and medications.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records within the EMR system.
- Support the overall workflow of the office and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorization processes.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, team-oriented, and dependable personality.
