About the Role:
Join the dynamic team at Saunders Fence Co as a Fence Helper! This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors while assisting in the installation and maintenance of high-quality fencing solutions for our valued customers in VA.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of various types of fences, including wood, vinyl, and chain-link.
- Help prepare job sites by clearing debris and ensuring tools are organized.
- Support lead installers by measuring and cutting materials accurately.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and to ensure satisfaction.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in construction is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is advantageous.
