Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled SMT Technicianwith hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, programming, and troubleshooting SMT equipment. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of laser marking, glue dispensing (CAMALOT), screen printing (DEK), solder paste inspection (KOH YOUNG), pick & place equipment (FUJI), reflow ovens (ITW) and experience working in a FUJI environment, including SMT programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust SMT equipment while ensuring high quality and process stability.
- Perform setups, changeovers, and material verification for each process step.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on:
- Laser marking systems
- Glue dispensing machines (CAMALOT)
- Screen printers (DEK)
- SPI systems (KOH YOUNG)
- Pick & place machines (FUJI NXT, AIM)
- Reflow ovens (ITW/VITRONIC)
- Troubleshoot and resolve process issues related to solder paste printing, component placement, inspection, and reflow profiling.
- Create, modify, and optimize SMT programs (FUJI, CAMALOT, DEK, etc.).
- Document downtime, maintenance activities, root cause analysis, and improvements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve OEE, yields, CP/CPK, and reduce rework.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, ESD controls, and manufacturing best practices.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in SMT manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Laser marking systems
- Glue dispensing (CAMALOT)
- Screen printers (DEK)
- SPI Koh Young
- FUJI pick & place systems (NXT preferred)
- Reflow ovens ITW
- Experience working in a FUJI environment: feeders, offsets, calibrations, recovery, basic maintenance.
- Experience as an SMT Programmer is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, and component datasheets.
- Understanding of metrics such as OEE, downtime, attrition, first pass yield.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve technical issues quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC certifications (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).
- Experience with NPI, line setup optimization, and production ramp-ups.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in FUJI vision systems, vacuum performance, alignment, and placement accuracy.
- Knowledge of SPC tools and problem-solving methodologies (Pareto, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
