Job description
The Maintenance Parts Clerk will be responsible for the oversight of the Maintenance Parts Room and inventory of the Maintenance Department. The parts clerk must have the ability to navigate through the maintenance CMMS system for inventory, PM's and variety of equipment.
1. Receive, inspect and store incoming parts, tools and supplies.
2. Maintain accurate records of inventory using the maintenance CMMS
3. Issue parts and supplies to the maintenance technicians as needed.
4. Coordinate with the MRO BUYER for returns and reorders.
5 Assist with tracking and reporting maintenance related cost.
6. Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
7. Put away any parts returned back to the parts room and update the quantities back into the system.
8. Remove trash empty boxes and unserviceable parts.
Knowlege, Skills, and Abilities.
1. Understand of inventory control principals and cycle counts
2. Familiarity with maintenance parts, tools, and equipment relevant to this specific industry.
3. Knowledge of how to maintain accurate and organized records for inventory orders and transactions.
4. Clear verbal written communication to interact with technicians, and supervisors
5. Ability to troubleshoot inventory issues, and supply mismatches efficiently.
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and keep the stockroom orderly.
7. Work in fast paced environment while handling frequent requests.
8. Lift and move parts or material (up to 50lbs) and stand or walk for extended periods.
