IV Infusion Specialist (EMT/Paramedic)

The IV Infusion Specialist is responsible for proficient IV placement, patient preparation, and assisting with clinical operations to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience. This role primarily serves adult and geriatric patients receiving infusion therapies. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in venipuncture, attentive to patient needs, and comfortable caring for older adults who may have complex medical histories or challenging IV access.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IV catheter insertion with a high level of proficiency and accuracy
• Provide care to adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient infusion setting
• Prepare and room patients for infusion therapy
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and intake information
• Monitor patients during infusion treatments and promptly report adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
• Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines
• Assist with maintaining clinical supplies and inventory
• Support overall clinic flow to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional bedside manner
