Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Urgent Care | Full-Time | $20/hr

OneSpotMD Primary and Urgent Care is a physician-owned practice located in Charlotte, NC. We are currently hiring Two full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our friendly, fast-paced, and patient-centered team. Position Overview:
As a CMA, you will be an essential part of the clinical team, supporting our medical providers in delivering high-quality urgent care. This role includes both administrative and clinical duties and requires someone who is adaptable, efficient, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms

• Record vital signs and patient history into our EMR (Experity)

• Collect and label specimens for lab testing (nasal swabs, blood draws, UA, etc.)

• Perform in-house diagnostic tests and prepare lab requisitions

• Administer injections and vaccines as ordered

• Support front desk operations as needed

• Maintain cleanliness and restock exam rooms between visits

• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and team members

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or completion of a Medical Assistant program

• Minimum 1–2 years of CMA experience preferred

• Urgent care or ER experience is a plus

• Proficient in EMR systems (experience with Experity is a bonus)

• Strong organizational and computer skills

• Ability to work 8–12 hour shifts and be available on weekends

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong communication skills

• Must thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment

Schedule:

• Full-time position

• Must be available for weekend shifts

• 8 to 12-hour shifts

Compensation & Benefits:

• $20/hour base pay

• Overtime pay (1.5x) for hours over 40/week

• Monthly performance-based incentive bonuses

• 3% 401(k) match (vesting after 2 years)
