Ozark Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care team. In this role, you will provide direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN). Your primary responsibilities will include assisting residents with activities of daily living, providing personal care, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide personal care and comfort measures, ensuring residents' dignity and privacy.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff promptly.
  • Assist with basic nursing procedures and tasks, including vital signs monitoring and medication reminders.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, and other CNAs, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Attend in-service education programs and participate in ongoing training opportunities to maintain current knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.
  • Current certification as a CNA in the state of practice.
  • Previous experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to care for elderly residents.
