Job Description
Ozark Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care team. In this role, you will provide direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN). Your primary responsibilities will include assisting residents with activities of daily living, providing personal care, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care and comfort measures, ensuring residents' dignity and privacy.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff promptly.
- Assist with basic nursing procedures and tasks, including vital signs monitoring and medication reminders.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, and other CNAs, to provide comprehensive care.
- Attend in-service education programs and participate in ongoing training opportunities to maintain current knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.
- Current certification as a CNA in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to care for elderly residents.
