We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and dynamic Sports Performance Trainers to join our elite team and inspire our athletes to perform at their best.

Job Summary:
The Sports Performance Trainer is responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising strength, conditioning, and agility programs for athletes ranging from youth to professional levels. This role involves conducting athlete assessments, providing hands-on coaching, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive and individualized approach to athlete development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Design: Design and adapt individualized and group training programs based on athlete evaluations and specific sport demands.
  • Coaching & Instruction: Lead dynamic training sessions, providing clear instruction and real-time feedback on proper technique and form to maximize performance and prevent injury.
  • Athlete Assessment: Conduct on-site evaluations using proprietary assessment protocols to track progress and performance data.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with athletic trainers, physical therapists, and head coaches to ensure a cohesive and holistic athlete development plan.
  • Education & Mentorship: Educate athletes and parents on topics such as proper nutrition, hydration, recovery strategies, and mental preparation.
  • Facility Management: Ensure the training environment and all equipment are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Emergency Response: Recognize signs of medical emergencies and efficiently enact an emergency action plan when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Must have experience in personal training, strength coaching, or a related performance field, preferably working with youth and/or competitive athletes.
  • Certifications:
    • Current industry certification required (e.g., NSCA-CSCS - Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, NASM, or similar).
  • Skills: Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills; ability to work a flexible/fluctuating schedule including early mornings, and evenings. This dynamic role requires the ability to travel and work across both of our facilities in the greater Phoenix area.
  • Physical Demands: Must be physically capable of performing and demonstrating strenuous activities typical of leading a sports performance program.
