Subject Matter Expert - Systems Administrator

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Months/Years of Experience: IT systems administrator with a minimum of 20 years' experience supporting classified and unclassified DoD environments..

Required Qualifications: U. S. Citizen. Must have a Security Clearance. Senior / expert level knowledge of IT infrastructure design and implementation, Windows workstation and Server OS, Active Directory, RHEL, VMware vCenter/vSphere, high performance computing clusters (HPC), automation tools such as PowerShell and Ansible, RMF auditing, STIG mitigation, SCAP/SCC, vulnerability management with Tenable Nessus, patch and configuration management (WSUS), backup and recovery implementations, log and event monitoring and management

Duties: Serve as IT systems trusted advisor. Provide expert council on selection of IT systems, components, and technologies. Oversee integration planning and deployment of IT systems. Coordinate with RTC S6 to ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards, including STIG, RMF, and vulnerability management best practice. Evaluate technologies and recommend solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Up to 25% travel.
