Job Description
DM Family Care in Miami, FL, is expanding into the clinical research field. Our mission is to advance innovative medical therapies by conducting high-quality clinical trials in a professional, patient-centered environment. Research activities will take place at DM Family Care’s facility, where we combine the trust of a community practice with the rigor of clinical research.
We are seeking a Florida-licensed cardiologist to join our team as a Principal Investigator in our clinical research program. The physician will provide medical oversight, evaluate study participants, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple therapeutic areas. This hybrid position allows for flexibility, with some tasks performed remotely, but requires on-site participation at our Miami facility.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct medical assessments and physical exams of study participants
Provide expert input for cardiovascular, metabolic, and hypertension studies.
Serve as Principal Investigator (PI) on upcoming Phase II–III clinical trials.
Review and sign study-related documents, labs, and safety reports
Provide ongoing medical oversight throughout clinical trials
Ensure compliance with FDA, GCP, IRB, and study sponsor requirements
Collaborate with research coordinators, nurses, and study monitors
Maintain accurate and timely study documentation
Qualifications
Required:
Board Certified / Board Eligible Cardiologist.
Active Florida Medical License (required).
Prior research experience preferred but not required
GCP training required.
Strong clinical judgment and collaborative communication style.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Preferred (not mandatory):
Prior experience in clinical research or trials
Work Environment & Schedule
Hybrid role: combination of remote responsibilities and required on-site participation at our Miami location
Flexible schedule, tailored to study demands (ideal for physicians maintaining their own practice).
Compensation
- Compensation is structured as a revenue-sharing model, with the physician receiving 20% of physician-related study revenue for awarded trials. Details will be discussed during the interview process.
- Opportunity to grow into a long-term research leadership role as new trials launch.
