About this job
Job Description
Chiavaris is hiring dependable team members to help deliver, load, unload, set up, and pick up event seating across the Chicagoland area. This is a flexible, demand-driven contractor opportunity for workers who are active, responsive, professional, and ready to be part of a high-standard operation.
What the work looks like
Team members support deliveries and pickups by helping with:
- loading and unloading chairs and related equipment
- preparing orders for delivery
- setting up and breaking down at event locations
- maintaining professionalism at venues and client sites
- supporting route execution and warehouse flow
This is active physical work. Workers should expect lifting, carrying, walking, loading, unloading, and working efficiently as part of a team.
Schedule structure
This is a part-time, demand-driven contractor opportunity based on:
- client demand
- route needs
- seasonality
- your availability
Work opportunities are offered digitally, and workers may accept opportunities based on availability. There is no requirement to accept every opportunity offered. However, once a shift or assignment is accepted, Chiavaris expects a real commitment to show up on time and complete the work reliably.
Many assignments are shorter-format shifts, and some days may include more than one assignment.
Growth opportunity
Many workers begin in entry-level event support work and can grow into higher-opportunity roles over time.
Workers who are reliable, responsive, professional, and strong performers may receive:
- more work opportunities
- access to higher-responsibility roles
- advancement into delivery-driver development paths over time
Advancement is based on performance, reliability, and business needs. It is not automatic.
Basic requirements
- at least 18 years old
- valid state ID or driver’s license
- able to lift and move event equipment safely
- dependable communication and responsiveness
- able to work professionally at venues and client locations
- able to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team
Driver-path note
Some workers may grow into driver-path opportunities over time. Those roles require higher standards and additional qualification steps.
Pay
Starting pay begins at $25/hour, with higher earning opportunities available over time for workers who advance into higher-responsibility roles.
Additional premium pay may apply in certain approved late-night situations.
Why workers like the role
- flexible, demand-driven work
- access to interesting venues and event locations
- clear opportunity to earn more opportunities through strong performance
- a professional team environment with room to grow
