Non-Emergency Transportation Driver

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting elderly and/or handicapped clients and ensuring timely arrival while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to navigate various routes effectively.

Duties

Operate vehicles, i.e. non-emergency transportation vans, to transport clients to designated locations.

Ensure the safe loading and unloading of clients using equipment such as wheelchair lifts and stretchers.

Maintain accurate records of transports, including route information and customer interactions, as needed.

Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during transports.

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.

Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.

Assist with moving items as needed, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed to prevent damage.

Ability to use and download transport apps effectively.

Experience

Previous experience as a transportation driver or in a similar role is preferred.

Familiarity with route driving and navigating local areas efficiently is essential.

Experience operating commercial vehicles is a plus.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.

Knowledge of safety protocols related to driving and handling goods is important.

Flexibility for scheduling is a must.
