Position Summary

The Patient Compliance Specialist provides essential support to both patients and the clinical team,

ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all patients. This role encompasses a range of

responsibilities, including scheduling, patient interaction, and assisting with Durable Medical Equipment

(DME) management. Additionally, this position serves as a liaison between patients and providers,

managing patient compliance, scheduling, and administrative tasks related to equipment setup and

returns.


Responsibilities

  • Manage patient compliance efforts, guiding patients on how to use equipment and adhere to

treatment plans.

  • Serve as the primary, professional point of contact for all patient interactions, including phone

calls, in-person visits, and email inquiries.

  • Greeting, check-in, and direct patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork and protocols are

completed upon arrival.

  • Will serve as a backup to receptionist when necessary.
  • Schedule clinic appointments, DME setups, mask fittings, and equipment checks based on

patient and provider needs.

  • Assist with DME setups, mask fittings, and equipment checks as required.
  • Coordinate with providers on mutual patients, ensuring seamless communication regarding

treatment and equipment needs.

  • Prepare and manage pickup tickets for equipment returns, ensuring accurate records.
  • Oversee patient payments, including collecting copays, fees for supplies, and other out-of-pocket

expenses.

  • Complete daily close of patient payments, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Organize and distribute mail and manage office supplies requisitions as needed.
  • Voicemails must be cleared out and responded to DAILY


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and general computer applications.
  • Excellent reading comprehension for interpreting patient and provider documents accurately.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and professional

demeanor when interacting with a diverse community of patients and staff.

  • A proactive, collaborative, and patient-centered approach to work.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of administrative or healthcare-related experience, preferably in a clinical or

patient-facing setting.
