Funeral Director and Embalmer

Responsibilities

• Meet with families to arrange and conduct funeral and memorial services
• Prepare and embalm decedents in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Coordinate visitations, services, and graveside ceremonies
• Complete required documentation and compliance paperwork accurately
• Maintain preparation room standards and equipment
• Participate in removals on an on-call rotation
• Support team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Qualifications

• Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer (North Carolina license required or ability to reciprocate)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to work evenings and participate in on-call rotation
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Commitment to high ethical standards and confidentiality
