We are seeking an experienced Working Nurse Recruiter to join our temporary medical staffing team. This unique hybrid role combines hands-on clinical work with full-cycle healthcare recruiting. The ideal candidate is a licensed nurse who enjoys working bedside while also building relationships, recruiting clinicians, and helping grow a staffing business.

The Working Nurse Recruiter is required to work 8 nursing shifts per month, with the remainder of their time dedicated to recruiting, onboarding, and supporting clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities (8 shifts/month)

  • Work assigned nursing shifts in contracted facilities as scheduled
  • Maintain active nursing license and all required certifications
  • Serve as a clinical ambassador for the company while on assignment
  • Provide real-time feedback on facility needs, workflow, and staffing gaps

Recruiting Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and onboard nurses and allied health professionals
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and reference checks
  • Coordinate credentialing, compliance, and onboarding
  • Maintain relationships with active and inactive candidates
  • Match candidates with appropriate assignments
  • Support clinicians throughout their assignments to ensure retention
  • Collaborate with leadership on staffing needs and growth strategies
  • Track recruiting activity and performance metrics

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $60,000 annually
  • Clinical Shifts: 8 shifts per month included in salary
  • Additional Shifts: Paid at $60/hour (OT rate)
  • Commission: Quarterly commission based on gross revenue generated (details below)

Qualifications

  • Active RN or LPN license (Washington preferred)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Prior recruiting or staffing experience preferred (not required)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Ability to balance clinical work with recruiting responsibilities
