Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
Provide compassionate psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy
Incorporate innovative interventional treatments including Accelerated TMS-assisted psychotherapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy
Empathic Approach
Foster strong patient relationships through empathetic listening and understanding
Uphold each patient’s humanity as paramount and demonstrate compassion in every interaction
Collaboration
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans
Integrate compassionate care with evidence-based treatment approaches to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Professional Development
Engage in continuous learning in interventional brain medicine and psychotherapy
Strengthen clinical expertise and therapeutic relationships through ongoing professional growth
Population Focus
Provide care for adolescents (ages 13+) and adults requiring treatment for conditions including:
PTSD
OCD
Bipolar disorder
Anxiety disorders
Depression
Panic disorders
Age-related cognitive decline
Craving and overconsumption conditions
Experience & Credentials
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or another recognized certifying body
Current California Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure
Full practice authority preferred, or ability to obtain a collaborating physician upon hire
Demonstrated experience providing quality psychiatric care in an outpatient clinical setting
Proficiency in mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management
CME-approved training in psychotherapy is a plus
Ability to provide psychotherapeutic interventions using modalities such as:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Willingness to undergo specialized training in interventional treatment modalities including:
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
Ketamine therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Physical Requirements
Visual Acuity: Adequate vision to monitor patient responses and review medical documentation
Auditory Ability: Ability to hear and respond to patient communication
Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, colleagues, and referral sources
Manual Dexterity: Ability to perform duties using computer systems and phone equipment
Compensation:
- $160,000 – $185,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
*Total compensation is estimated at approximately $177,000 – $205,000 annually, including benefits such as medical coverage and paid time off.
